The Global Boost Awards open their call: one minute of cinema to take your brand to Cannes

Following the success of their inaugural edition, held during the Cannes Film Festival, the awards created by Sonia Boost are opening their international call for Cannes 2027. The idea is as simple as it is powerful: a one-minute trailer, created with artificial intelligence, in which a brand tells its purpose. Selected brands can go on to the Berlinale, reach the final in Cannes and land on Hollywood’s radar.

Some awards recognise what a brand sells. Others recognise what a brand stands for. The Global Boost Awards were born for the latter.

Driven by Movies x Brands and The Wonder World Group, these international awards connect four worlds that until recently walked separate paths: cinema, brands, artificial intelligence and human impact. Their starting point is a conviction the movement itself sums up: “The brands that connect are not the ones that talk the most, but the ones that best tell who they are.”

An inaugural edition that set the course

The first edition took place on 16 May 2026 at the Hôtel Barrière Le Gray d’Albion, right on the Croisette and at the heart of the Cannes Film Festival. It was a resounding success. The gala brought together pioneering companies in artificial intelligence, technology, innovation and strategic communication from Spain, Miami and Latin America, alongside filmmakers, entrepreneurs and international media.

Prestigious brands supported the movement from day one. Among them was European Wellness Biomedical Group, whose founder, Professor Mike Chan — an international reference in longevity, regenerative medicine and biotechnology — attended as Official Partner. The evening was also honoured by the presence of Jorge Loza, founder and CEO of Wake Up Conferences in Latin America.

Three finalists reached the gala: Sepia Creativa, María Cárdenas and Victoria Deleyto. Three cinematic projects created with artificial intelligence, selected for their ability to place technology at the service of a purpose-driven narrative. The top honour went to Sepia Creativa, which turned its brand’s mission into a one-minute film and took it all the way to the Cannes red carpet.

The real difference: brands just starting out can enter too

The most valuable thing about this ecosystem is that it is not reserved for large corporations. No production company, budget or film experience is required. The Global Boost Awards are open to:

  • Emerging brands that want to make themselves known with a story that matches their ambition.
  • Personal brands: professionals, entrepreneurs, creators and leaders with something to say.
  • Brands bold enough to embrace artificial intelligence and use it as a creative tool, not an advertising gimmick.

Here, the biggest budget does not win. The best-told story does.

How to take part: one minute, one purpose

Participation is free and selection places are limited. The process has three steps:

  1. Register through the official call form. It takes about two minutes.
  2. Create your trailer: a one-minute video with a cinematic look, made with artificial intelligence, telling your brand’s mission. After registering, you will receive the instructions by email.
  3. Present it to the jury. Selected brands move on to the next stage.

From selection to the red carpet

Selected brands receive free mentoring throughout the process from a jury made up of film industry professionals, marketing and artificial intelligence specialists, celebrities and executives from international entertainment.

Selected trailers are presented at the Berlinale Digital Showcase, and the finalists compete for the Global Boost Awards during the 2027 Cannes Film Festival. A journey that takes a brand from visibility to Hollywood’s radar.

A model in which cinema and brands both win

The vision of Movies x Brands goes beyond an awards programme. Its aim is to keep contributing to the financing and co-production of Wonder World Pictures films, creating a virtuous circle between the audiovisual industry and the business world. At the same time, brands have the opportunity to use artificial intelligence to tell their story and to be present on stages such as the Cannes Film Festival, the Berlinale and other major international events.

It is a model in which cinema finds new allies and brands find a language capable of moving people.

The vision of Sonia Boost

Behind the Global Boost Awards is Sonia Boost: visionary, artificial intelligence strategist, film producer, CEO of The Wonder World Group and creator of Movies x Brands.

Her career in film explains the essence of the awards. She first arrived in Cannes at 26, with a script under her arm, looking for financing for her films. Since then she has taken part in more than 11 international co-productions, counts 7 Goya Award nominations and is linked to the production of documentaries about great figures of cinema such as Steven Spielberg and Vicente Aranda. In her early years she worked alongside key figures such as Álvaro de Marichalar. Today, Wonder World Pictures has an accredited presence at the Goya Awards, Cannes and the Berlinale, and Sonia Boost has twice been recognised by Forbes as a reference in marketing, artificial intelligence and growth marketing.

That dual perspective — of someone who knows the language of cinema from the inside and someone who masters business growth strategy — is what shapes the movement. Her belief is that any brand, large or small, can tell its story with the power of a major production, and that artificial intelligence is the tool that finally makes it possible.

The next story could be yours

The call is now open. One minute may be all it takes for a brand to stop being just another name and start being remembered.
